Bill Bradbury (1949 – April 14, 2023) passed away at age 73 of unexpected medical complications while on a six-month world cruise with his wife of 36 years, Katy Eymann.

Bill attended Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio from 1967 to 1970, studying communications. His co-op placement at KQED-TV in San Francisco launched his career in television reporting.

He served as Oregon Secretary of State from 1999 to 2009, leading efforts that implemented Oregon’s vote-by-mail system—the first of its kind in the nation. He also created ORESTAR, making political campaign contributions publicly accessible.

Earlier, he served in the Oregon Legislature in both the House and Senate, and was chosen as Senate President in 1993. He lived with multiple sclerosis for over 40 years.
