Margaret E. Jagler, 97, passed away on May 9, 2024, at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice, surrounded by family. Born July 20, 1926, in Milwaukee to Merrill and Margaret Irish Hyde, she earned her nursing diploma from Bellin Memorial Hospital School in 1947 and later completed a psychology degree at Antioch College in 1953.

She married James R. Jagler on August 15, 1953, and worked as a registered nurse at St. Nicholas Hospital before retiring in 1980. Active in her Sheboygan community, Margaret served as a Girl Scout Leader, participated in the Red Cross Blood Bank, and volunteered with Meals on Wheels for 30 years.

Margaret’s interests included extensive travel throughout Europe, Asia, and Central America with her husband. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, needlework and knitting, and pursued genealogy research and cemetery documentation.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, three children, six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions were suggested for Sheboygan County Meals on Wheels or First Congregational Church.
