Born on May 5, 1933, Marion graduated from White Plains High School before earning her Bachelor’s degree from Antioch College and a Master’s degree from Azusa Pacific University. Her professional life included a successful career in furniture sales at Imperial Furniture in Indio and later as the owner of First World Travel in La Quinta. Marion was deeply engaged in her community. She served as a La Quinta planning commissioner and was an active member of the Soroptimists. A dedicated leader, she volunteered with both the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. Her passion for travel took her around the world, and she shared that enthusiasm through her work and personal life. She also had a deep appreciation for the arts. She enjoyed painting and visiting art museums whenever possible. A founding force behind the Unitarian Universalist Church of the Desert, Marion continued as an active member throughout her life.
