Stephen A. Naughton, age 56, of Rising Sun, Maryland, died peacefully on January 9, 2022, surrounded by family at home. Born October 15, 1965, in New York, he was the son of the late Frank U. III and Elizabeth Sayre Naughton.
He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Brandy Ann Robertson Naughton; their daughter, Sophia C. Naughton of Rising Sun, Maryland; and his sister, Elizabeth H. Naughton of Nashua, New Hampshire.
Naughton was an active member of St. Mary Anne’s Episcopal Church in North East, Maryland, and an associate of the Episcopal Carmel of St. Teresa in Rising Sun. He worked for Flagger Force of Pennsylvania and served on multiple boards, including the Cecil County Public Library Board of Trustees, the Town of Rising Sun Board of Commissioners, and the Episcopal Diocese of Maryland’s Diocesan Council.
Those wishing to honor his memory were asked to contribute to St. Mary Anne’s Episcopal Church or the Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation’s Cancer Life Net program at the Kaufman Cancer Center.
A memorial service was held January 15, 2022, at St. Mary Anne’s Episcopal Church. Interment was private.
